Dębno Podhalańskie
This small village is known for its beautiful wooden church under the invocation of St. Michael the Archangel.
The church, built in 15th century in log construction, posses the roof covered with shingle. Inside you will find the real masterpieces: the walls and ceiling are decorated with 15th and 16th century paintings in 33 different colours. Worth mentioning are also the cabinet with 15th century Gothic sculptures, the wooden painted box for Eucharist, two early Baroque side altars.
The church lies on "the Wooden Route" and was included to UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001.
It is possible to visit the church and Niedzica Castle during one tour, or to join rafting on the Dunajec River with the visit here.
